Otis (Kevin James) is a male dairy cow without worries, who prefers the news or can rather than accept responsibility. His
father Ben (Sam Elliott) is the leader of the barnyard when the farmer
is away, giving the animal safer to arise on two legs when. After
Otis interrupts a meeting backyard with his wild antics, Ben has an
interview with her son, in which he said he will be never happy if it

does not take account of its advice and leaves for fun with his friends
Pip the mouse (Jeff Garcia), pork (Tino Insana), Freddy the ferret (Cam

same day, Otis meets a new yet pregnant cow named Daisy (Courteney
Cox), accompanied of another cow girl named Bessy (Wanda Sykes).
That night, the animals throw a massive party in the barn; all animals are there except Ben, who looks over the fence, which marks their space. Otis
is assigned his shift with him, but he talks himself out of it, saying
that it is necessary for a certain role in the barn of the part. Ben speaks with Otis and said that the day he found only on the Prairie, the stars danced. Otis is given the privilege of partying outside, and the thankful son runs at the grange. Ben was later taken on a pack of coyotes led by Dag (David Koechner), which is plundering of the henhouse. Ben manages to repel the pack until he is bitten in the leg by Dag, making him fall. Coyotes pile up on Ben, but he manages to capture the Dag and escapes from the stack. Threat of punch Dag, he lets him go, scaring him and the coyotes. Encourage hens, but Ben falls to the ground, exhausted. A hen named Etta (Andie MacDowell) empties into the barn and said to Otis and he runs outside his father. Ben opens his mouth as if to say something, but he died. He was then buried on a hill by the farmer. His grave has been tagged, "BEN - a good cow."
